We are looking for a UX Researcher I.

ABOUT YOU

You are a UX Researcher with at least 2 years of work experience who is passionate about UX research and has an aptitude for learning new technologies. Attention to detail while working at speed within project constraints are essential qualities.

You possess solid communication, collaboration, leadership, and project management skills. You approach your career proactively by pursuing new areas of domain expertise. You are comfortable with change and can adapt with minimal work disruption. You are agile, professional, and fun to work with.

JOB SUMMARY

As a URI Researcher I, you must have a firm base of competency in benchmarking, usability studies, and interviews methodologies. Our projects are usually headed by a Research Lead. You will report to a Research Manager for 1:1s and professional development. You will own the execution of all phases of client-driven user research including writing research plans, developing screeners to identify participant profiles, moderating study sessions, writing detailed reports, and presenting findings to clients.

To be successful in this role, you are expected to excel at time management and presenting your research findings to our clients. Your portfolio and experience should demonstrate ownership and excellence in execution.

KEY SKILLS

  • Solid knowledge of the field of human-computer interaction, experimental design, observational and field methods, and data analysis is required
  • Independent execution of UX Research Phases: Study Design, Study Prep, Recruiting, Moderating, Analysis, Reporting (with minimal support)
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies
  • Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills are required; English is the language in which we do business
  • Project Management abilities: manages own schedule independently, manages multiple projects/tasks effectively, verifies and monitors scope of work

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2 years of work experience in the field of User Research is required
  • Experience with a range of research methodologies
  • Proficient at generating research plans, defining, and tracking user experience metrics
  • BS or MA/MS in HCD or human factors, psychology, or highly related field preferred or have the relevant work experience

JOB SUMMARY

User Research International is currently seeking a driven, creative, customer-focused UX Researcher who is passionate about user experience research and has an aptitude for learning new technologies. As a URI Researcher, you will have the opportunity to employ a wide range of research methodologies including interviews, lab-based usability tests, prototype testing, and benchmark studies.

As an UX Associate Researcher, you will work in collaboration with the Research Lead, and report to a Research Manager. You will be responsible for executing all phases of client-driven user research including writing research plans, developing screeners to identify participant profiles, moderating study sessions, writing detailed reports, and presenting findings to clients.

To be successful in this role, you will need to be driven to develop and grow your expertise. You are expected to have excellent time management skills, experience conducting user research, and to be able to present your research findings effectively to our clients. You will need to be able to learn new technologies quickly, work in an agile environment and juggle multiple deliverables. Additionally, you will need to be detail-oriented and thorough in your approach to research methodologies, but flexible enough to work within time and project constraints. URI is a team-driven environment and your ability to communicate and collaborate is essential.

Your portfolio and experience should demonstrate ownership, problem solving, and excellence in execution.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1-2 years of experience in the field of user research, with at least 6 months of experience in industry
  • Experience with a range of research methodologies Experience generating research plans, defining, and tracking user experience metrics
  • BS or MA/MS in HCD or human factors, psychology, or highly related field preferred or have the relevant work experience
