Testing Methods and Evaluations

Automated testing

URI’s automated testing flags issues that could cause violations of WCAG Guidelines. Automated tests are performed without evaluating accessibility from the point of view of the Assistive Technology (AT) user. 

Manual testing

User Research International’s manual testing uncovers false positives resulting from automated testing and provides a comprehensive examination of product accessibility.

User testing

With the assistance of participants with disabilities, usability experiences are reviewed from an accessibility standpoint. User testing is useful for uncovering usability-related accessibility issues such as confusing navigation flows and poor discoverability.
